So...I'm not dead, in case any of the very few people who look at these statuses were wondering. I am working at another zoo, as a seasonal zookeeper. I started May 25th, and this one is supposed to go through December. This time I am working with cats :) Anyway, I already didn't post art very often but now it will be even less often because I have been working on that really big art project that I think I have mentioned before - but I will not be revealing much of it until I am finished. Right now, I am doing one lineart a month, and I have A LOT of linearts to get through. Like, over 40 of them - which, at my current pace, is over 40 months, which is like 4 years. And then after the lineart is done, I have to color and shade all of them, and try to do some kind of background. I might end up trying to get more than one lineart done in a month in the future if I ever get the motivation (and maybe more time) but for now, this is the pace I'm working at. At the beginning of April, I started a new job at the zoo that I was furloughed from last year due to COVID. I am now a seasonal zookeeper at this zoo, rather than a seasonal educator. So far it's going pretty good, aside from the sensory overload I've been experiencing and the fatigue and soreness from the physical labor. I ordered some expensive earplugs that dampen noise, designed for autistic people and other people with sensory issues. So I hope they're worth the money. Anyway, this is my first actually paid position as a keeper, so it's super exciting. I can finally put on my resume that I've worked as an official keeper. I hope it will help me find more long-term work in the future. Aside from the updates with my career, I've been dealing a lot more with my thanatophobia lately and it has been pretty bad. I mentioned it to my therapist again, and she suggested meditation; I tried it a few times, but it's going to take more than that for me to get over this fear. Over the past
